It is that time of year
Sorry I'm not very good at keeping this updated but please know I think about it often, something shiny catches my eye and I get distracted.
The vegetables are starting to come in.
We are harvesting lettuce, beets and scallions daily. Today we picked zucchini and sugar snap peas, remember everything has it's season so check in often to see what is coming and going. It only gets better from here.
We tend to update face book more often so keep an eye out for the news as it comes.

Visitors Post
Spring is firmly entrench at Smith Farm. The green houses are full, the plant yard is full, and we are looking forward to seeing you. We are just now putting together our lovely Memorial Day pots. Hope you can stop
by and see how nicely they came out this year. Tom and Dylan are busy getting the fields ready for the planting season. Among the plants that are growing in the fields, you can see lettuce and cabbages, as well as spinach, onions, and carrots. Lots of other crops are just starting out. We have tomatoes plants growing in the "grow tunnel". They are protected from some of the harsher Spring weather and the plants are full of blossoms. Of course, the tomatoes are still several weeks away. But it is exciting to watch the plants do their thing. Our crew are all busy keeping the green houses and the plant yard in top condition.

OPENING
I know this is April Fools Day and you can't believe everything told to you but this is not an April Fools joke, we will be opening on FRIDAY - APRIL 8th.
The fact we are suppose to get snow at the beginning of the week should be an April Fools joke and I hope it is but opening the stand is like hanging laundry on the clothes line or washing your car, the weather is going to be crap so we will just get through this spell bad weather and hope for better weather next weekend.
You can keep up with us on our Facebook Page at SmithFarmHudson, Dylan is better at keeping that updated than I am with this.
Hope to see you all soon.

Greenhouse Season!
Maybe you're wondering what we've been up to lately. Just sitting around resting on our laurels, right?
Oh, no, folks, we've been busy!
Things are looking very green in the greenhouse! Time to start dreaming about what you'll plant in just a few short weeks!

There is plenty to do here to get started for the new season and we are eagerly preparing for it.
The greenhouses are being prepared for the growing season and we have ordered seeds and plants for the year.
